Sofia Pernas is a Moroccan actress who was born and was raised at home in Orange County. At the age of five, she moved from Morocco to California. She received her big break acting after graduating from University of California San Diego in the year 2015. Pernas was a small part in NCIS and Leverage. After that, she was offered the part of Marisa at The Young and the Restless. The actress, who left The soap after 2016 landed the role of Catalina who is a regular character on Jane the Virgin. The model who is fluent in four languages has since appeared on The Brave as Hannah Rivera, The Green Ghost and Secret Society of Second Born Royals. Between 2019 and 2020, she portrayed Lexi Vaziri in Blood & Treasure. Us Weekly revealed in May of 2020 that Pernas was in a relationship with Justin Hartley, her The Young and the Restless co-star. The relationship began shortly after Hartley's This Is Us star split from her spouse Chrishell Stause November of this year. News came out in May 2021 that Pernas and Hartley were recently married with a private ceremony.
