Lis Wiehl works as an American writer and legal analyst who was formerly a Fox News analyst.
She is an adjunct professor in Law in New York Law School and was previously Associate Professor at University of Washington Law School. She has also provided legal analysis for National Public Radio program and on Bill O'Reilly's radio program, The Radio Factor. Wiehl is a native of Yakima, Washington, and she graduated from West Valley High School in Yakima. She earned a bachelor's degree in English from Barnard College in 1983, an MA in Arts in Literature from the University of Queensland in 1985, and the Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School in 1987.
Wiehl was a prosecutor at the US Attorney's office. She worked as a correspondent for legal issues for NPR's All Things Considered. She served as assistant chief investigator counsel to Democrats in the House Judiciary Committee in Clinton's impeachment. She was a law professor as a tenured professor at the University of Washington School of Law Seattle which she was the manager of the Trial Advocacy Program from 1995 until 2001. Wiehl was employed as an analyst for Fox News legal analyst from 2001 until 2017.
