Ellie Goulding was born Elena Jane Goulding in Hereford on December 30, 1986. The public was captivated in 2010 through her hits "Starry Eyed" and "Guns and Horses," British vocalist Ellie Goulding rapidly rose to the top of the charts with her infectious electronic pop sound. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. Goulding has a unique soprano scream and a knack of writing songs with emotional positive lyrics.
